GENERAL FAQ
What is Microblading?
Microblading is a newer technique that is designed to cosmetically enhance your natural eyebrows. This method is ideal for any client looking to improve their existing shape that they are lacking. The result is fine hair-like strokes that replicate the natural eyebrow hairs. This opens a wide spectrum for clients that suffer from natural density, alopecia, or hair loss due to chemotherapy.
How long does it last?
Depending on the client’s lifestyle, skin type, and how well they follow the after care instructions, the results can last anywhere from 6 months up to 2 years.
Do I have to get 2 sessions?
Yes, it is required. Not everyone’s skin will retain pigment as well as others. The second part of this procedure is to perfect the lines that didn’t retain as well. Some clients may need the smallest touch up. We will not know how you heal until you get through the entire healing process the first time.
Does it hurt?
I get different reviews all the time because everyone’s pain tolerance varies. I have some clients that experience no pain at all and some clients that experience an annoyance, but nothing severe. Numbing cream is applied before and during the procedure to keep you comfortable.
Is it safe?
Yes, absolutely! I provide the best sterilized, disposable needles, and supplies.
Will I be swollen?
It is rare that I experience a client swelling but you may have some redness around your eyebrows that will go down after a couple of hours.
Will I look crazy right after? Should I take the day off of work?
No, you will leave with natural looking eyebrows. The next day the color will intensify. This happens when your skin is in the healing process but doesn’t stay as dark. It will fade 20/40% after 10 days.
How long is the procedure?
3 hours. Please allow enough time so you are in no rush on the day of your appointment. I truly like to take my time with each client, this is very important to me.
How long is the healing process?
It takes about 10-14 days.
What can’t I do after the procedure?
You can NOT do the following:
Get them wet
Workout heavily / Sweat
Put make up or lotions near the treated area
Exfoliate
Sun tanning
Sauna / Hot tub
Swimming
Waxing, tweezing / shaving
Sleep on your face
I will give you an after care sheet to take home as your guide during the healing process.
What is the upkeep like? When will I need to come in for an annual visit?
Usually clients that are oily will come in 6 months after to keep their eyebrows fresh. Oily skin has a tendency to not heal as sharp as dry skin would. It truly depends on the client’s skin retention as time goes on. I suggest most clients to make an appointment to come by so I can take a closer look and assess their eyebrows.
Cancellations / Reschedule / No Shows
All deposits for Microblades are non-refundable but we will hold your deposit if you reschedule your appointment. We also cannot guarantee to get you in for the next date you would want. If you happen to cancel your appointment within 24 hrs or not show, there is a cancellation fee for half of what the service would cost. Your next appointment will not be rescheduled until you pay for the fee.
Lateness
If you are 20 minutes late or more, your appointment is subject to being rescheduled or cancelled.
